It is time to open up and move from a private group to a public page, accessible to all our brethren. Both pages will run in parallel for a few days, after which the private group will be closed. The Embassy of Greece in London invites you to visit the exhibition
Messolonghi 1826: 200 Years Since the Exodus,
presented at the Hellenic Residence to mark the bicentenary of one of the most powerful and defining moments of the Greek War of Independence.Exhibition Highlight
A centerpiece of the exhibition is a rare surviving copy of the first Greek-language edition of the Hymn to Liberty by Dionysios Solomos, printed in besieged Messolonghi in 1825 and presented for the first time outside Greece.
Featuring historical artefacts, objects, and artworks, the exhibition explores the siege and Exodus of Messolonghi, its place within the Greek War of Independence, and the role of the Philhellenes—among them many Britons—highlighting the enduring legacy of the Exodus as a symbol of sacrifice and the struggle for freedom.

St. Panteleimon
St. Panteleimon lived around 301 AD in the town of Nicomedia in Asia Minor during the reign of King Maximianos. He learned the Greek language and studied medicine.
Our history
The community was founded in 1975 and has now 10.000 members. In this parish’s website you will find information about the Greek Orthodox Church, its activities and religious matters.

Την Κυριακή 4η Φεβρουαρίου, είχαμε διαγωνισμό Ταβλιού, στη διάρκεια του οποίου προσφέρθηκε και εύγεστο γεύμα, σε όσους συμμετείχαν και στους συνοδούς τους, οργανώθηκε με σκοπό την οικονομική ενίσχυση και την αποπληρωμή πληρωμή του κοινοτικού δανείου.
