Following last year’s successful concert of hymns from the Triodion, which took place on Saturday 18th March 2023, on Saturday 20th April 2024 the Choir of the School of Byzantine Music presented a wonderful programme of hymns from each day of the Holy Week together with some explanation of what is commemorated on each day.  The hymns were taught by the director of the school, Fr Joseph Paliouras, and the choir was directed by Dr P. Procopiou.  Archon Protopsaltis Mr Gregory Papaemmanuel from Drama in Greece also participated in the choir.  After the byzantine hymns followed religious songs accompanied by musical instruments (5 violins, one accordion and one violoncello) under the direction of Mr Soteris Philippou.  The performance was followed by a Lenten supper in the Community Hall and some traditional songs with live-music.  

Μετά την επιτυχημένη περσινή μουσική εκδήλωση για το κατανυκτικό Τριώδιον που έγινε στο ναό μας στις 18 Μαρτίου 2023, το Σάββατο 20 Απριλίου 2024 η Χορωδία της Σχολής Βυζαντινής Μουσικής παρουσίασε ένα εξαιρετικό πρόγραμμα με ύμνους από κάθε μέρα της Μεγάλης Εβδομάδος μαζί με επεξηγήσεις για το τί συνέβει στην κάθε μέρα.  Τους ύμνους δίδαξε ο διευθυντής της σχολής π. Ιωσήφ Παλιούρας και την χορωδία διεύθυνε ο Δρ Π. Προκοπίου.  Επίσης έλαβε μέρος στην χορωδία ο Άρχων Πρωτοψάλτης κ. Γρηγόρης Παπαεμμανουήλ από την Δράμα. Μετά από τους βυζαντινούς ύμνους ακολούθησαν θρησκευτικά τραγούδια με μουσικά όργανα (5 βιολιά, ένα ακορντεόν και ένα βιολοτσέλο) υπό την διεύθυνση του κ. Σωτήρη Φιλίππου.  Την εκδήλωση ακολούθησε νηστίσιμο δείπνο στην κοινοτική αίθουσα και παραδοσιακά τραγούδια με μουσικά όργανα.
